About
I'm Niloy Nath — a software engineer based in Hyderabad, India. Online I go by π + θ (piplustheta), which is what happens when you let a math joke become a personal brand.
I currently work at ValueLabs, building backend services and LLM-powered automation tools — mostly Python, FastAPI, and the infrastructure glue that holds enterprise workflows together. Before that I did research on efficient image classification at ÉTS Montréal under the Mitacs Globalink program, and built video processing pipelines at Samsung R&D as part of Samsung PRISM.
The through-line in my work: backend systems, AI workflows, infra-heavy product problems, and developer tools. I like the unglamorous parts — deployments, storage, queues, the stuff that breaks at 2 AM — and I write about what I learn fixing them.
Outside of work I build side projects, break my own deployments, fix them, and turn the useful parts into notes on the blog. If any of that sounds like your kind of problem, get in touch — or find me on GitHub, X, or LinkedIn.
